Features

Sensor Unit

The sensor unit of the EAD10 comprises a specially developed XY stereo microphone sensor and trigger sensors, allowing you to capture a balanced recording of the entire kit by placing this at the center of the kit itself.

The microphone capsule is a newly-developed microphone that comes equipped with the ultra-high sound pressure resistance and strong noise resistance suitable for recording drums. The entire sensor unit, including the grill that covers the microphone capsule, incorporates an acoustical design that allows for the adjustment of directivity and frequency characteristics.

The preamplifier is equipped with custom parts, and the mic itself is designed to draw out the maximum dynamic range of a drum kit while achieving the balance ideal for recording, allowing for clear, dynamic sounds.

Additionally, the range of sounds that can be created has been greatly expanded, using the trigger sensor to combine bass drum sounds with a PCM sound source. The EAD10 has achieved both simplicity and quality by combining technologies that can only be developed by a comprehensive manufacturer.

The Main Unit

The main unit of EAD10 is designed with ease of use in mind. The left side of the main unit comes equipped with large knobs that can easily be adjusted mid-performance, so that the main control functions like volume and preset scene can be accessed easily.

LED indicators have been added to the preset scene controls of reverb, effect, and trigger to make them more visible. This allows for understanding of current settings as well as quick and intuitive adjustment on even the darkest of stages. The buttons and LCD display on the right allow for even more detailed adjustments.

Additionally, a high-performance headphone amplifier was also developed specifically for this unit and delivers power and performance that cannot be outdone by the dynamic sounds of acoustic drums.

It also comes equipped with many high-quality effects and PCM sound sources used in Yamaha electronic musical instruments. Furthermore, by using the trigger sensing technology from electronic drums, it creates added value for acoustic drums, making them into a completely new musical instrument.

Mechanism of the EAD10

The EAD10 can capture the sounds of an entire drum kit and monitor them at a high quality just by attaching the sensor to the bass drum. By simply turning the knob on the module, you can control various effects and change the drum sound.

Connect with Smart Device/App

The EAD10 can be played with your favourite music from smart devices via an AUX cable or USB cable connection. Using the free Android/iOS Rec'n'Share app, you can practice by adding a metronome to your favourite music, record audio, record video, edit, and upload to SNS right from your drum kit. Also, if you have a USB flash drive, you can record your own drum performance for up to 90 minutes.

Add Trigger & Pad

The EAD10 can connect to a maximum of six triggers and pads, including the bass drum trigger of the sensor, to augment your kit with percussion, electronic sounds and loops and expand the range of expression.

Talkback Function

A player's voice can be captured by the microphone of the unit sensor by operating the Mic button on the module or by using the pedal. This makes it perfect for video creation and web lessons.

Using the EAD10 with a Mesh Drum Kit

Combining the EAD10 with a low-volume drum kit using mesh heads and low-volume cymbals, leads to the birth of an entirely new drum kit. Playing PCM sound with triggers attached to each drum and capturing the raw sound of the cymbal from the sensor, allows a low-volume experience while realistic drum sounds are output through the headphones and speakers.

Settings resembling that of a real drum kit lend themselves to the production of a performance that feels more real than ever before and is easily recorded with the module or Rec'n'Share app.

Delivery Policy

Harry Green Music World offers FREE delivery to all *main distribution points within South Africa for orders above R1000.00.

Harry Green Music World will only make use of their couriers if a fixed address such as a personal/business address is provided.

Delivery Time

Normal delivery time is 3-7 working days. We will always try and give you the best possible ETA on your order together with your waybill number. It remains your responsibility to give as much special information on the delivery and address as possible.

In the events of natural disasters, strikes etc. that delays the process, we will notify you as soon as possible.

You may possibly receive your order in more than one delivery if you have purchased several items that consist of different brands. When it comes to guitars or any string instruments - we always do the necessary checks beforehand which may delay the delivery period. To ensure that you get a good working instrument.

It may also be required of the client to assemble his own instrument/professional equipment with a few simple screws or tunning. Alternatively we can arrange for a setup at an additional cost.

We deliver from Monday to Friday during our business hours, excluding public holidays. If you require an emergency delivery please contact us at 013 752 7725 and we will do our very best to accommodate you. This may require an additional fee.

Insurance

You can be rest assured that your items are insured against theft, fire or damage during the delivery phase. Our trusted and dedicated delivery company will notify us immediately if this happens and we will call you as soon as possible. We will then take you through the steps of refunding or replacing your lost item(s). Should you receive a damaged product upon delivery, please notify us within 30 minutes after signing the waybill. It remains your responsibility to send us photos of the damage caused together with the signed waybill.

Force Majeure

Neither party shall be liable for any loss suffered by the other Party arising out of delay in or prevention of performance of that Party’s obligations in terms of this Agreement if such delay is directly or indirectly caused by an event beyond that Party’s reasonable control, provided that:

  • the onus be on the Party alleging the occurrence of such an event to immediately notify the other Party of such event;
  • the Party delayed or prevented from performing its obligations by the occurrence of such an event shall do everything that could reasonably be expected of it in order to remedy the situation . 

Delivery Outside of South Africa

FOB “FREE ON BOARD” TERMS:

Harry Green Music World does not deliver outside of South Africa. If you would like for your item(s) to be delivered to you in a area outside of South Africa, you would need to organize and pay for your own transport.

Any additional transport costs will be the buyer’s responsibility, such as:

  • Delivery in an outlaying area is subject to the terms and conditions of the seller’s couriers and will be payable in advance prior to delivery by the buyer.
  • In the event that the buyer wants to export goods, the buyer is financially and administratively responsible for costs to transport to the port/border, if applicable, and for costs such as custom taxes and fees. We will not be held responsible for any duty costs arising from exporting goods by the buyer.
  • As mentioned on Shopifys blog post: “…as soon as the shipment of goods leaves the seller's warehouse, the seller records the sale as complete. The buyer owns the product on route to its warehouse and must then pay any delivery charges.”
