The Ernie Ball specialised six-string electric bass set uses small, guitar-style ball ends rather than the large ball ends fitted to traditional electric bass strings. Ernie Ball lists the model for a 29 5/8-inch scale, so check your instrument’s scale, bridge, string lengths and taper requirements before choosing it.

The nickel-plated steel wrap around hex-shaped steel core wire produces a bright, balanced tone. The .020 through .054 strings are 48 inches long; the .074 string is 39.5 inches long with a taper at 37 inches; the .090 string is 40 inches long with a taper at 34.5 inches. The manufacturer warns that this set may not be compatible with reverse headstocks.
