The Allen & Heath AB1608 is a 48kHz portable remote AudioRack designed for integration with Qu, Avantis, and SQ mixers, as well as the AHM-64 audio matrix processor. Featuring 16 professional mic preamps with phantom power indicators and 8 XLR line outputs, this unit utilizes the proprietary dSNAKE protocol for reliable audio transmission. It supports cable runs up to 100 metres via a single Cat5 cable and includes an expander port for daisy-chaining additional units or connecting ME personal mixing systems. The rugged chassis features protective rubber bumpers and a sturdy handle, making it highly portable and roadworthy for live performances. Firmware automatically synchronises with the connected system for efficient setup.
