The Boss Katana-50 Gen 3 is a professional 50-watt solid-state combo amplifier featuring a custom 30 cm speaker and evolved Tube Logic technology for authentic valve-inspired realism. This third-generation model introduces the Pushed amplifier character, providing a touch-responsive edge-of-breakup tone alongside eleven other distinct sonic variations. The integrated Class AB power section ensures high-quality harmonic saturation, while the variable Power Control allows for cranked-amp response at lower volumes suitable for home practice.

Equipped with five independent effects sections, this amplifier provides access to over 60 classic Boss effects including modulation, delay, and reverb. Connectivity is comprehensive with a dedicated Power Amp Input for external modelers, a USB-C port for recording, and a stereo headphone jack with IR-based cabinet simulation. Users can further customise their signal chain and download professional patches via the updated Boss Tone Studio software for Windows, macOS, and mobile devices.
