The Boss VO-1 Vocoder is a sophisticated stompbox that integrates the expressive capabilities of the human voice with guitar and bass performance. Utilising advanced guitar synthesiser technology, it offers four distinct modes including Vintage for classic synth-voice textures and Advanced for high-definition vocal clarity. The innovative Talk Box mode emulates traditional talking lead guitar effects without the requirement of a mouth tube or external rig.

This unit features a dedicated XLR microphone input to drive the vocoder engine, while the Choir mode allows for rich vocal textures without an external mic. The integrated effect loop facilitates seamless patching of external pedals, and the Blend control enables precise mixing of direct and processed signals. Constructed with a buffered bypass and housed in a durable chassis, it provides professional-grade vocal manipulation for modern instrumentalists.
