The L.R. Baggs M1A is a body-sensitive active magnetic soundhole pickup designed to deliver realistic acoustic tonality. It utilizes a patented humbucking design with a suspended coil that captures both string vibration and soundboard resonance. Internal audiophile-grade electronics provide a high-output signal, eliminating the requirement for an external preamp. A built-in volume control allows for precise level adjustments during performances. The system includes adjustable pole pieces to ensure balanced string-to-string volume and response. Power is supplied by a single 3V lithium coin cell, offering up to 1,000 hours of operation.
