The Shure SM7dB integrates the classic SM7B dynamic microphone design with a high-performance built-in active preamp. This internal circuitry provides up to 28dB of clean, adjustable gain, eliminating the requirement for external signal boosters in various recording setups. The microphone retains the legendary dual-tone controls, featuring switchable bass roll-off and presence boost for tailored frequency response. Electromagnetic shielding and internal air suspension shock isolation mitigate mechanical noise and broadband interference. A cardioid polar pattern ensures consistent off-axis rejection for focused vocal capture. This unit ships with a detachable close-talk windscreen for protection against explosive breath sounds.
